Art van Leeuwen | Jacques Israelivitch drawn while at the Toronto Symphony

Jacques Israelivitch | Solo Violin live at the Toronto Symphony

I got in trouble for drawing live

€ 100

I got in a bit of trouble doing this image. I was sitting in the front row of the theatre with my sister and niece watching the symphony doing a bit of Beethoven I think. Jacques Israelivitch was the soloist at this time. He normally is the lead violinist. During the Intermission, an attendent came up to me and told me I would no longer be able to draw while the performance was on. I had made the soloist uncomfortable and the subject was too close for scrutiny. This made my sister laugh and niece snicker through out the second half. I smiled bemusedly at Jacques who would not dare look my way.
