Trilliums Eagerly Await
those rugged enough to find them, deep in the woods
Early Spring on the Bruce Trail near Lions Head on the Bruce Peninsula
Alabaster Candy
they know
over that ridge
all sweaty
gasping
filling lungs
they will rise
from the other side
hidden by the ridge
they stretch
reaching
along rocks
polished by time
each curious footstep
adding a bit of shine
they stretch
reaching for the sun
elongated poser
welcome wagon
eager, ready
alabaster candy
gift for exploring eyes
