Pen and Ink Illustrations by Cork Freelance Artist

I love drawing with ink. It is unforgiving and every mark stays on the page. Thye have taught me that every mark matters. Even if i do not quite understand why at first, those nervous or mystery marks become integral. I am based in Cork Ireland as a freelance artist. Feel free to contact me if you are a looking for someone to illustrate that novel, new album T-Shirt or use nice images on your website

Fridge door and hot pot cloth

This is the freezer door wher i kept my little rosettes made of razor thin orange and lemon slices while i was the chef at Ciccones an italian restaurant on King St West in the fashion district of Toronto.

The little rosettes were frozen into shape and i would place one on each plate that i sent out bordered by leaves from fresh mint or Italian flat parsley like a little flower garnish. They worked exactly the same as a small sherbert. A palette cleanser.

Ace Lefthander for the Toronto Blue Jays

Jimmy Key was a keystone in the Toronto Blue Jay rotation from 1984 until 1992

In the 4th game of the world series against the Atlanta Braves he made his final start for Toronto earning the win in a 3-1 victory. Funnily enough this was a sort of perfect bookend as Atlanta's Manager, Bobby Cox, was also the manager of the Toronto Blue Jays when Jimmy made his first start in 1984.

his last appearance came in the sixth game when he came in as a reliever in the 10th and 11th innings also earning the win in the game that clinched the series.

After 31 years, The Boatmen brings the Grey Cup Home

This is one of the happy moments of the CFL team Toronto Argonauts history.

Dan Ferrone and Paul Pearson holding the Grey Cup at B.C. Place in Vancouver.

It was  in 1983 when the Toronto Argonauts ended a 31-year Grey Cup drought by upsetting the B.C. Lions on their own turf 18-17 in front of 59,345 spectators at Vancouver’s B.C. Place Stadium.

Paul Pearson said after the game....

“For me, it was so much fun because I’m from Vancouver. Bob O’Billovich (Toronto Head Coach) will tell you that Vancouver used to shutdown on Sundays and the next day we had a party at my dad’s house. Most of the team was there, even some of the Lions. To win the Grey Cup over B.C. in Vancouver was really special.”

That place sure was amazing. we stopped in Nashville on the way down and on the on the way back but the music in New Orleans out did Nashville when it came to the quantity of it that you could hear just walking around.

This troubadour can really sing

I was in Ottawa in november of 2004 to see a concert by Jethro Tull. The night after, i found this cafe where Melissa was playing. i had my sketchbook with and drew this while she was on stage. Melissa noticed and came over and we chatted after her set. she was nice enough to sign her Stranded in Suburbia CD for me. I think she also took a drawing!
